Floresta Psychedelic Practitioner Training
A Transpersonal & Parapsychological Intensive
September 16-20 | Colorado
5-Day Immersive Training
This immersive training is designed for clinicians, coaches, and facilitators seeking to develop competency in working with psychedelic and non-ordinary states of consciousness through a trauma-informed, somatic, and transpersonal lens.
Rooted in both clinical integrity and expanded frameworks of consciousness, this training moves beyond traditional models to include the energetic, liminal, and parapsychological dimensions that can emerge in altered states.
While there is a primary focus on ketamine-assisted therapy, the skills cultivated in this training are applicable across a wide range of psychedelic, somatic, and consciousness-based practices.
This is both a professional training and a personal initiation into deeper states of awareness, presence, and facilitation.
Training Structure:
Participants will engage in a balance of direct experience, observation, and integration. The structure includes two intramuscular ketamine experiences (receiving) and two facilitation experiences (sitting for others) within a supported and supervised environment.
There will be real-time feedback, group processing, and integration throughout the training. This allows you to understand the experience from within, develop confidence in holding space, and refine your presence as a facilitator.
Clinical & Foundational Components:
Include trauma-informed care, somatic tracking, safety protocols, psychiatric screening, and set and setting as it relates to psychological and physiological safety. Ethical and legal considerations in psychedelic work will also be covered in depth.
Facilitation & Relational Presence training includes nervous system attunement, co-regulation, and learning how to embody presence without over-intervening. Participants will learn how to work with resistance, activation, and shutdown, while incorporating mindfulness, guided imagery, and non-directive support.
Transpersonal & Parapsychological Dimensions explore how to navigate non-ordinary states of consciousness, including experiences that extend beyond conventional psychological frameworks. This includes working within liminal states, understanding expanded or anomalous phenomena, and integrating these experiences without pathologizing them.
Energetics & Subtle Awareness:
Participants will learn to sense and work with energetic shifts, understand boundaries and permeability, and deepen awareness of presence, intention, and resonance within the therapeutic space.
Practice Development & Business:
Includes pathways to building a practice as a psychedelic integration specialist, coach, or clinician. This section covers legal considerations, scope of practice, and how to ethically and sustainably build a business in this emerging field.
What Makes This Training Unique:
This training bridges clinical rigor, somatic intelligence, energetic awareness, and transpersonal exploration. It is designed not only to teach techniques, but to develop the capacity to sit with complexity, intensity, and the unknown.
Participants are trained in how to be in the room when experiences move beyond language, logic, and conventional frameworks.
Ongoing Mentorship, Certification & Integration:
Participants have the opportunity to continue working directly with Shannon as their clinician and mentor, deepening both their clinical skillset and personal capacity in this work. Upon completion, participants will receive certification as a Psychedelic Practitioner, grounded in a model that integrates clinical excellence, somatic awareness, and expanded frameworks of consciousness.
This training extends far beyond the immersive experience itself. Participants are supported through a structured two-month integration period, including personalized follow-up care, ongoing mentorship, and a series of live Zoom integration calls. Additional case consultation and support are provided by both the clinical and integration teams, ensuring that participants are not only trained but resourced, supported, and skillfully guided as they begin to apply this work in real-world settings.
This is not a one-time training. It is an entry into a deeper level of practice, relationship, and professional evolution.
Location & Experience:
Held in a private Colorado setting, this training includes comfortable accommodations, organic nourishing meals, and dietary accommodations. The environment is intentionally curated to support depth, safety, and transformation.

Early Bird (by July 1): $2,950 here
Standard Tuition: $3,250 here
Includes training tuition, room and board, all meals, supervision, and experiential components.
This training is led by Shannon Starr Mostafiz, PMHNP-BC, MSN
Shannon sits at the intersection of clinical psychiatry and expanded states of consciousness. Having facilitated over 20,000 ketamine sessions and trained practitioners in this emerging field, she brings a rare combination of precision, depth, and attunement to the unseen. Her approach integrates trauma-informed and somatic care with an awareness of energetic and transpersonal phenomena, supporting practitioners in developing the capacity to navigate liminal states, altered perception, and the more ineffable dimensions of human experience.
