About Floresta
Floresta focuses on the transformation of mental health and psychiatry through consciousness.
We believe healing is not only the reduction of symptoms. It is the restoration of connection. Connection to the body, to the inner world, to meaning, to choice, and to the deeper intelligence that lives within each person.
Our work begins with the understanding that human beings are more than diagnoses, behaviors, or stories from the past. We are multidimensional beings shaped by biology, relationships, culture, consciousness, and the mysteries of lived experience.
Floresta brings together clinicians, physicians, coaches, pioneers, and those willing to imagine a different future for mental health. Together, we offer a transpersonal approach to healing through an IFS informed lens, integrating Western medicine and psychotherapy with wisdom drawn from Eastern and Indigenous traditions.
We honor both science and mystery.
We value clinical responsibility, discernment, and safety while remaining open to the profound experiences that can arise when consciousness expands beyond its familiar patterns.
Ketamine assisted therapy can create access to new perspectives, deeper awareness, emotional healing, and a more spacious relationship with the self. It may allow what has been hidden, protected, fragmented, or forgotten to be witnessed with greater compassion and clarity.
Through individual work, groups, retreats, and practitioner education, we create intentional spaces for exploration, transformation, and integration. Our aim is not to tell people who they should become, but to help them reconnect with the wisdom, wholeness, and possibility already within them.
We believe that many of the experiences we call symptoms may also be invitations. Invitations to listen more deeply, to question inherited ways of living, and to enter into a more conscious relationship with ourselves and the world around us.

My Story
For the past 20 years, I have explored a wide range of healing and consciousness based practices, including meditation, functional medicine, herbalism, yoga, energetic facilitation, retreats, intentional community, and journeys into the jungle.
I have always been drawn to question what we have been taught and to explore what else may become possible when we honor the whole person.
My path has been one of weaving together science, consciousness, spirituality, and embodied healing in a way that feels both grounded and expansive.
Floresta grew from this exploration and from my desire to bring these approaches to the forefront of mental health and psychiatry.
With commitment to change and transformation,
Shannon
